How to Play Pokémon Brilliant Diamond on Android (Eden Emulator Setup Guide)

Emulating Nintendo Switch titles on mobile devices has reached a brand-new milestone with the Eden Emulator. If you want to experience Pokémon Brilliant Diamond at a locked 30 FPS without graphical glitches or overheating issues, this complete installation guide covers every step you need—from setting up keys and firmware to loading custom Turnip GPU drivers.

Required Downloads & Files

Before proceeding with the step-by-step setup, download all the necessary files listed below and organize them into a single folder inside your device storage (e.g., Download/_Pokemon BD).

Step 1: Installing Eden Emulator & Setting Up System Files

  1. Install and launch Eden Emulator APK on your Android device.
  2. Allow notification permissions and proceed to the Setup Emulator Data screen.
  3. Tap on Keys, navigate to your _Pokemon BD folder, and select prod.keys.
  4. Tap on Firmware, select Firmware.19.0.0.zip, and wait for the extraction process to finish.
  5. Tap Games, select your game directory, tap USE THIS FOLDER, and click ALLOW.
  6. On the pop-up prompt, ensure you check the Deep Scan option before tapping OK.

Step 2: Installing Game Update v1.3.0

Running update v1.3.0 is mandatory to fix stability bugs and enable full compatibility with the emulator's memory layout.

  • Long-press the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond game tile in the Eden menu and select Add-ons.
  • Tap + Install at the bottom right.
  • Select Updates and DLC, choose the update file (...v393216.nsp), and wait for installation to reach 100%.
  • Make sure the Update (NAND) 1.3.0 toggle is enabled.

Step 3: Best Performance & Graphics Settings

To eliminate audio desyncs, missing textures, and micro-stutters, apply the following configuration in Settings > Advanced Settings:

System Configuration

  • Limit Speed: Enabled (100%)
  • Docked Mode: Enabled (Forces full visual fidelity)
  • Synchronize Core Speed: Enabled
  • Memory Layout: 4GB (Recommended)

Graphics Configuration

  • Resolution: 1X (720p / 1080p)
  • VSync Mode: Immediate (Off)
  • GPU Mode: Fast
  • VRAM Usage Mode: Aggressive
  • ASTC Decoding Method: GPU
  • Disk Shader Cache: Enabled
  • Extended Dynamic State: ExtendedDynamicState 1
  • Vertex Input Dynamic State: Enabled
  • Aspect Ratio: Stretch to Window (For full-screen view)

Step 4: Installing Mesa Turnip Driver for Snapdragon GPUs

Qualcomm Snapdragon users should install a custom Mesa Turnip driver to fix Vulkan rendering bugs:

  1. Open Settings and tap GPU Driver Manager.
  2. Tap + Install at the bottom right.
  3. Select Turnip_v26.0.0_R8.zip from your download folder.
  4. Select Mesa Turnip driver v26.0.0 - R8 to set it as active.

Step 5: Launch & Enjoy

Return to the main home screen and tap Pokémon Brilliant Diamond. The emulator will briefly display a "Building shaders" window before booting straight into the game intro. Enjoy smooth, high-definition gameplay

on Android!
