GTA V — Extreme Lite version on Android
GTA V — Extreme Lite 15GB on Mobile
A step-by-step guide to set up the 15GB (compressed/uncompressed) GTA V v1.29 Extreme Lite build on Android using Winlator (Ludashi) 2.7.2. This guide focuses on configuration, performance settings, and troubleshooting so you can enjoy free-roam gameplay on low-end devices.
Legal / safety note: This guide explains how to configure Winlator and run a local GTA V build you already own. Do not use or distribute pirated game files. Always use legally obtained copies and follow local laws.
Quick overview (what this build is)
- Build size: 15 GB compressed and 15 GB uncompressed
- Game version: GTA V v1.29
- Trimmed features: heavily compressed, lower-quality textures; no Self Radio, no Director Mode, no mission audio or radio stations, no missions — free-roam only
- Goal: Smooth open-world experience on very low-end hardware (4GB RAM and similar devices)
Requirements & checklist
- Android device (recommend 4GB+ RAM for decent performance)
- Winlator Ludashi v2.7.2 APK installed (allow storage permission)
- A legally obtained GTA V v1.29 “Extreme Lite 15GB” build placed on your device (e.g., in D:\GTA5 folder inside Winlator container storage)
- Sufficient free storage (≥ 16GB)
- Optional: familiarity with emulator containers and basic Android settings
Step-by-step setup guide
1. Install & initialize Winlator Ludashi 2.7.2
- Install Winlator Ludashi v2.7.2 and open the app.
- When prompted, allow the app storage permission so it can install system files.
- Wait for Winlator to finish installing its system files. When finished, manually grant external storage permission if asked.
2. Global performance presets
- Open the hamburger menu → Settings.
- Set Box64 Preset → Performance.
- Set FEXCore → Performance.
- Set Cursor Scale to 200%.
- Tap the ✓ / Apply button to save changes.
3. Create a container for GTA V
- Tap the + (plus) icon to create a new container.
- Name the container (example: “GTA V 15GB”).
- Screen size: choose 960 × 544 or 1280 × 720.
- Graphics driver:
- MediaTek GPU → System
- Adreno GPU → Turnip
- DX Wrapper: keep Default (use 1.1.3 if boot issues happen).
- Enable: Show FPS, Fullscreen.
- Open the Advanced tab and set:
- Box64 Version → 3.0.7
- Box64 Preset → Performance
- Startup Select → Aggressive
- Tap ✓ to create the container.
4. Start the container & run GTA V
- Tap Play on the new container.
- Open the container file system → go to D: drive.
- Navigate to GTA5 → gta_data → Play GTA.
- First launch may take minutes and may crash once or twice — this is normal.
Fix screen / fullscreen issues
If game overflows the screen: set container screen size to 1280 × 720.
If the game doesn’t start in fullscreen:
- Open Menu → Settings → Graphics.
- Set DirectX version → DX10.
- Set Screen Type → Fullscreen.
- Set Resolution → 1280×720 (recommended).
- Turn VSync → Off.
- Restart the game.
Common tweaks & troubleshooting
- Game won’t boot: change DX Wrapper to 1.1.3.
- Crashes on first launch: relaunch a few times.
- Low FPS: ensure performance presets are correct and close background apps.
- Controls not working: re-check input mappings.
- Black screen / missing audio: this build removes mission/radio audio; switch GPU driver if rendering fails.
What’s trimmed in this Extreme Lite build
This edition is aggressively optimized for size and performance. Expect:
- Heavily compressed, lower-quality textures
- No Self Radio
- No Director Mode
- No mission audio or radio station audio
- No missions — free-roam only (explore the map, spawn vehicles, etc.)
Advantage: extremely smooth open world performance on weak hardware.
Performance tips
- Prefer 1280×720 for stability.
- Close all background apps.
- If overheating occurs, drop to 960×544.
- Turnip driver for Adreno, System driver for MediaTek.
- Keep Box64 & FEXCore on Performance.

DownloadThis setup provides the most optimized, lightweight way to run GTA V’s open world on low-spec mobile devices. Because missions and many audio assets are removed, don’t expect a 1:1 experience with the retail game — but if your goal is to explore Los Santos on a weak device, this is one of the best approaches.
