Pokemon Pink Version (Pre-patched)

Pokemon Pink Version is a GBC rom hack. It was released on 25th September 2023. This hack is a recast of a hack created by Jeremy back in 2001 that was never finished. The first version of this hack (that is, the one from 2014) was completed in just seven minutes. This hack is developed by creator 80c.

 

Next, in 2015, a colored version was created (2.0) obtained by the colored patch of Drenn and Froggestspirit, readapted by me to be compatible with the blue version.

 

The latest version, 2.1, includes a new introduction screen.

 

About (Story)

 

The story is the same as that of Pokemon Red and Blue, although this time the protagonist is Crystal from Pokemon Crystal.

However, there are several important changes:

 

 

Features Colors: ( Version 2.1 Only )

 

ᗍ Female character, Crystal, whose image appears during fights and on the card (and the Pokémon League);

 

ᗍ New Starters: Jigglypuff, Pikachu and Vulpix;

The three new canonical types introduced in the following games are added;

 

ᗍ Combinations between types of the most recent games

 

ᗍ Removed some bugs from the original game (Glitch City, Focus Energy, etc.)

 

ᗍ Some attacks were changed, for example, they now have a new type

 

ᗍ The Uknown Dungeon is now the same as Pokémon Yellow

 

ᗍ Palettes like those of Pokémon Yellow

 

ᗍ Some Pokémon underwent a type change (for example, Rattata and Ekans are now also dark-type)

Known Issues:

 

⊸  The problems that exist are due to the original Full Color Patch

 

⊸  Unconfirmed serious problem : according to someone this hack can ruin and perhaps destroy the Game Boy Color if played on a physical support - this is not confirmed.

 

⊸  Some roofs may briefly change color in the passage between some maps, it is not serious.

⊸ Using some instruments can cause a very brief color change, it is not serious
