About Pokemon This Gym of Mine 

You are the newest Gym Leader for Umbal City! Battle Trainers that challenge you,

spruce up the city, and help out the citizens!

How you do it is all up to you!

You’ll start by selecting the Pokemon type of your Gym and your signature Pokemon. You’ll meet mayor Dalton, who will keep you updated on your progress and everything else in the game.

At the start of the game, you’ll be in charge of “Umbal City.” You’ll be the city’s newest Gym Leader, and quite frankly, nobody in the town has anything nice to say about you at the start of your epic journey. Umbal City is in ruins because of the Gym Leader before you, and it’s your job to improve its status.

Notes:- It's random chance that goes into deciding who you face at the Gym. I've done everything I could think of to keep it interesting and avoid repetition, but it may happen once in a while, especially early on. Also, some early-game Trainers get stronger if you leave them be. You can only fight each Trainer once, so make it count!

Finally, there is no barrier between areas. You can access areas containing Pokemon five times your strength straight out the gate!
